Breakfast
Today's breakfast was West and East,
Too yummy to resist.
Bread, omelet and noodles to the list
Taste buds say, "It's a feast!"
Escape
Nature is a serene escape,
From the jam packed cityscape;
A little garden in the balcony,
Gets freedom in green euphony.
In the frame you see my car,
That helped me go that far,
Where the high-rises don't rise up,
Where earth and wild grass are still in love.
Parrot
On the roof I was sitting.
Then came this bird to sing.
Bird sang not much of a song,
But a squeaky screech too strong,
Standing out in the serene morning;
As the contrast of red and green,
Against sky's blue skin.
Harmony
Living together in harmony
Is celebrating ways which are many.
Religion makes us different
But still together we pray and repent.
Hindu and the Musalman,
Two brothers in God's loving plan;
Breathing the same air,
Satiating thirst with the same water.
Differences shout and say,
We are nothing but flowers in a boutique.
Selfie
On the occasion of Diwali,
Clicked a selfie.
The phone's shadow
My shirt does show.
It is all about light and darkness,
The festival of lights is all about the dark skinned Goddess.
Fog
Woke up in the morning
To see the white enveloping.
The world wore a gift wrap,
It was winter's fine drape.
First fog of the season,
Looked hauntingly beautiful without reason.
